Madero therapy
Madero comes from madera, wood in Spanish. Shaped wooden tools work the body and face by hand: a non-invasive treatment with no downtime, and one of the safest holistic massage therapies.
Signature ritual
You stay still. We do the rest.
Our founding ritual. While your hair mask works under the steamer, gentle Madero wooden tools sculpt the face, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and activate fibroblasts for firmer, lifted skin, while your second therapist works reflexology and Madero strokes from your feet to your knees.

Booking ahead is the surest way to get the time you want, especially in the evenings. You can book online, or message the house you plan to visit on WhatsApp. Walk-ins are welcome whenever a therapist is free.
Four houses: Ubud, two in Uluwatu (Suluban and Padang Padang) and Pererenan, minutes from Canggu. Each has its own WhatsApp number and map link on the locations page.
Every house is open 11am to 8pm, seven days a week, including public holidays. The last booking of the day starts in time to finish by 8pm.
From 30 minutes for reflexology up to two and a half hours for a full ritual. Most guests book 60 or 90 minutes. Every length and its price is on the treatments page.
Yes. All our therapists are certified and trained to the standards of the European Madero Association, and Madero body and facial work is what we specialise in. You can choose your therapist when you book.
Yes. In your booking you can set how many people each treatment is for, up to six.

Madero works best as a course rather than a one-off. Body treatments are sold in 3, 6 and 9-session courses, and the price per session falls as the course gets longer.
