About this treatment

Back Madero with Scrub is a 60-minute back treatment at Nomads Haus Bali that pairs a full exfoliating back scrub with Madero wood therapy. It is a good choice if your back feels tight from travel, surfing or long days at a laptop, and you also want smoother skin.

What happens in the session

Your therapist starts with a body scrub across the back and shoulders to lift dead skin and leave the surface soft. After a rinse, they move into Madero therapy: rolling and cupping with shaped wooden tools along the back, shoulders and sides. The tools work deeper than hands alone, which helps loosen knots, move circulation and support lymphatic drainage.

Good to know

The session lasts 60 minutes in a private room. Expect firm, rhythmic pressure that your therapist adjusts to you. It is available at our houses in Ubud, Uluwatu and Pererenan, open daily from 11am to 8pm.

‍

Madero foot and back therapy, from 45 minutes.

Available at every Nomads Haus house, and included in the Tuesday reset.

Your visit

Before

A short consultation, so your therapist can tailor the pressure, focus areas and oils to you. Arrive ten minutes early; avoid a heavy meal just before.

During

Your treatment runs the full booked length, in a private room, with no upselling.

Madero pressure can be adjusted at any moment; light redness afterwards is normal.

After

Time to rest with herbal tea, and aftercare notes for the days that follow. Drink plenty of water.

What guests say about

Feet & Back Treatments

We had a great experience there and the madero massage was absolutely worth it. We've tried the traditional Balinese massage as well. Everything was calm and relaxing, a great experience there.
